About Us

celtic-crossWelcome to the Tir na nOg! We are a small Irish pub located on the Trenton/Hamilton NJ border that was founded in 1991 by the late Irish Billy Briggs. Tir na nOg is a place in Irish folklore that translates to “the land of everlasting youth” If you have been in the bar during its 22 years of existence, you can surely understand that the name truly fits the bar.

We have 11 beers on tap that include: Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks, Magner’s, Yuengling, Coor’s Light, Miller Lite & a rotation of 4 “craft” beers (with an IPA always being on tap). We also have a nice variety of Irish whiskies and other tasty libations.

Our entertainment comprises of music 4 days a week, with the following typical pattern:

  • Tuesdays: Open Mike Night
  • Wednesdays: Irish Music
  • Fridays: Irish music
  • Saturdays: Irish, rock, country or blue grass

On the 1st Sunday of the month, we have a traditional music session from 3-6 PM. Musicians sit around a table and play the instruments acoustically where the performers and patrons alike have fun during this informal gathering.

But we don’t just stop at music for entertaining our guests… we have TVs so our patrons can support the various sports teams they follow, we have 4 dart boards available for those interested in testing out their shooting skills, we sponsor 2 teams in the Greater Trenton Dart League that always compete for the top spot but above all we have the most professional staff in town that will entertain you until last call!

The nOg is definitely not a “theme park” Irish Pub. It ihne. The bar is real… the signs, photos, the memories and most importantly, the loyal patrons. Please continue to check us out virtually, but don’t stop there, come in to visit us, grab a pint and enjoy our warm and comfortable environment. You certainly will experience the best Irish Pub not only in the in the Greater Trenton area, but in the United States (voted one of the top 50 Irish Pubs in America)! You will not be disappointed. We look forward to seeing you soon and hope that you consider Tir na nOg home like many that have done before!

Slainte,
Maureen & Todd
